Information and data sharing
Welcome to Essex Wildlife Trust Biological Records Centre
Essex Wildlife Trust is the county’s leading conservation charity. It has more than 33,000 members, manages and protects over 8,200 acres of land on 87 nature reserves, 2 nature parks and runs 9 visitor centres. The aim of Essex Wildlife Trust is to Protect Wildlife for the Future and for the people of Essex. It is supported financially by members, local businesses and grant making organisations. It is one of the largest of the 47 county wildlife trusts that work together throughout the British Isles as The Wildlife Trusts.
Essex Wildlife Trust Biological Records Centre collates and manages data collected by Essex Wildlife Trust staff, volunteers and members, to help promote evidence based conservation and land management in Essex. We also aim to work with the general public and external organisations that wish to share data so that information on species and habitats in Essex is available as widely as possible to those who require it, and to promote data sharing for the benefit of conservation in Essex.
This website uses an Indicia Data Warehouse hosted by the Biological Records Centre (a group within the NERC Centre for Ecology and Hydrology).
